Faye Ellen McMillin, 77, of St. Jacob, IL, born August 3, 1943 in Hamel, IL and passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Faye was a faithful member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL where she was active in the Ladies Guild.  She enjoyed quilting, and working on the church fall quilt show.  She drove a bus for the Triad School district where she retired in 2012 with 32 years of service.  She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing the Triad Cheerleader uniforms for over 25 years.  Most of all she loved her family and friends and enjoyed all the time she was able to spend with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Minnie (nee Strohmeier) Bartels; siblings, Norman (Betty) Bartels, Alfred Bartels, Earl (Gladys) Bartels, Kenneth (Marie) Bartels, Bernice (Melvin) Gusewell and Helen (Jerry) Vieth; her mother and father-in-law, Harold and Betty (nee Beeler) McMillin.

Surviving are her husband, Roy L. McMillin of St. Jacob, IL; her children, Lynn M. Reid of Troy, IL, Patrick L. (Kelly) McMillin of Stilwell, KS and Christopher M. (Erica) McMillin of St. Jacob, IL; her grandchildren, Sarah L. (Brendan Bittle) Lewis, Jacob P. (Brittany Johnson) Lewis, Ryan P. McMillin, Eric M. McMillin, Abby McMillin, Taylor McMillin, Makenna Frierdich, Grant Frierdich, Emily P. McMillin and Evan P. McMillin; her great-grandchildren, Brayden C. and Owen J. Sizemore; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane (Gerald) Doty of Normal, IL, Melanie (Tom) Stephens of Douglasville, GA and Mari Jo (Bill) Clark of Collinsville, IL; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 am on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Friedens UCC, 207 E Center St., Troy, IL.
