Evelyn M. Saunders, 89, of Glen Carbon, IL, born Thursday, September 7, 1933 in St. James, MO and passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Evelyn's family was her life, she enjoyed spending time with them.  She enjoyed quilting and was very proud of the awards she won at Friedens Troy, quilt show.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Saunders, her son Ronald Saunders; her parents, Orville and Lucy (nee Petri) Pilger.

Surviving are her children, Lorelei (Tony Italiano) Saunders of Glen Carbon, IL, Richard (Sandy) Saunders of Norfolk, VA and Jeanne Saunders of CA; her grandchildren, Glenn (Kelly) Gross, Tara (Eric) Wagman, Charlie (Jennica) Showalter, Natalia (Brian) Hidden, Dominique (Danny) Williams and Bryan (April) Saunders; and her 11 great-grandchildren.
