Obituary
Evelyn J. Gard, 73, of Maryville, Ill., born April 17, 1941, in Granite City, Ill., died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at her home.
Mrs. Gard owned E & J Grass Cutting. She was a life time member of Collinsville Unit 10 PTA and Collinsville Tepee. Evelyn loved going to the Casinos and playing Bingo. She loved her six grand-dogs but most of all she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Gard whom she married on August 20, 1960, in Collinsville, Ill., and who died on July 17, 2012; her parents, Perry H. and Ruby I., nee Wilken, Wideman; brothers, Perry L. Wideman and Larry Wideman; and sisters, Barbara McCallister, Cecilia Smith and Shirley Zanchetti.
Surviving are daughter, Brenda (Jason) Dill of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren; Joe Scott and Mary Dill; great-grandchildren, Colten Scott, Ella Hurtado-Dill, Jeremy Crone, Lexie Scott, Avery Papp; brothers, Bernie Wideman and Gary (Jane) Wideman; sisters, Lila (Richard) Lehn and Patricia (Dennis) Woll; and sisters-in-law, Ellen Wideman and Carol (Phillip) Klein. She was a dear aunt cousin and friend.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Roger Wright officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
