Mr. Eugene Morelli, age 94, of St. Charles, MO. died January 8, 2010 at St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Morelli was born on January 22, 1915 in Altoona, PA. and had previously resided in Troy, Illinois from 1961 to 2001. Eugene was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and had served many years as an alderman in Troy. He was a retired supervisor in the Diesel Eng. Dept. of the Penn Central Railroad.

Mr. Morelli was preceded in death by his parents Gussippi and Adalinne Morelli and daughter-in-law Rose Morelli.

Surviving are his wife Sybil (nee Sims) Morelli of St. Louis, MO.; sons Eugene Morelli of Alton, IL., Joseph (Dorothy) Morelli of St. Peters, MO., and Gregory (Jan) Morelli of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren: Michael Morelli, Daniel Morelli, Gina Morelli, Christopher Morelli, Rachel Morelli, Adam Morelli, David Morelli, Lisa Morelli, Tim Morelli, Tom Morelli, Kristen Mulhaney, Kara Morelli, Tony Morelli, and Kimberly Morelli; sister, Olga Miller of Orlando, FL., and nine great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of Masses.

Visitation will be at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from 9 to 10 A.M.

Funeral services will be at St. Jerome Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 10 A.M. with Fr. Pat Jaekl officiating. A private family burial service will follow.
