Mrs. Neumann was a retired beautician. Prior to coming to Highland, she was a resident of the Alton Catholic Orphanage (later known as the Alton Childrens Home) for a number of years. She later lived with and was raised by the late Bernhard and Meda (Frey) Haselhorst. When she was older, she became a beautician and opened a shop in 1941, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Highland VFW Auxiliary Post #5694.

Graveside Services: Saturday, September 6, 2003 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Highland, with Rev. David L. Peters, pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Highland Animal Shelter or to St. Jude Hospital, Memphis, TN, in care of the Bank of Edwardsville Trust Department, Highland.
