Mrs. Ethel M. Ingersoll, 78, of Troy, born in Vincennes, Indiana, died July 9, 2005.
Mrs. Ingersoll has been living in Troy for the past 10 years, coming from Clayton, Missouri. Mrs. Ingersoll is fondly remembered by her family for her embroidery skills, fine piecing of quilt blocks, and her love of flowers. She enjoyed trips to Paducah, Kentucky for the annual quilt show and tours of the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Mrs. Ingersoll was a member of the American Quilters Society and the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Mrs. Ingersoll is preceded in death by her parents Omar T. and Marcia (nee Daily) Price.
Mrs. Ingersoll is survived by her husband, Burton W. Ingersoll of Troy, whom she married July 20, 1946, one son, William (Linda) Ingersoll of Troy, Illinois, one daughter, Lynne Ingersoll of Troy, Illinois, one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Ciapetta of New Jersey, two grandsons, Michael Honeycutt and Brian (Megan) Ingersoll, and one great grandson, Jeffrey Honeycutt.
