Obituary
Ernest Dorn, 75, of Highland, Ill., born June 25, 1936, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Dorn was a retired machinest having worked at Glen's Trucking Services and National Auto Supply. Ernest loved to fish and hunt with his grandsons. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ernest Dorn Jr.; grandson, Steven Evans; parents, Edward L. and Gertrude M., nee Fingerhoot, Dorn; and brother, Edward L. Dorn.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn, nee Hucker, Dorn; daughter, Sandra (Brian) Evans of Dunseith, N.D.; grandson, Christopher Evans of Dunseith, N.D.; sisters, Dorothy (Raymond) Walker of Columbia, Ill., and Viola Schubert of Edwardsville, Ill.; brother, Henry (Theresa) Dorn of Collinsville, Ill.; aunt Viola Loiseau of Glen Carbon, Ill.; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to SSM Hospice in memory of Ernest.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Private graveside services will be held at St. Clair Memorial Park Cemetery in Fairview Heights, Ill.
