Erica Lynn Bald, age 30, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at her home. Erica was born October 3, 1973 to Wayne Barto and Kathleen (nee Torbik) in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She married Michel Bald on November 15, 1997. Erica was self-employed as an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster. She lived in Troy for 6 years, was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, sewing and horseback riding. She is survived by her husband Michel, her son Justin Shane, age 4 1/2 and daughter Hannah Victoria, age 8 months; her father Wayne P. (Mary) Barto of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois; her mother Kathleen, nee Torbik, (John) Godwin of Arlington Heights, Illinois; half brothers Jack (Jennifer) Godwin, of the US Marines, and David Godwin, also of the US Marines. Also surviving are step-grandmother, Pat Godwin of Bull Shoals, AR; Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law, Donald and Sandy Bald of Lebanon, Illinois; sister-in-law, Kim Bald, of Lebanon, Illinois; step-sister, Kristen Nicole Creech of Seattle, WA.

Visitation: Friends may call after 3:00 pm, Monday, April 26, 2004 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Illinois.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Illinois, with Father Randall Rentner officiating and Father Steven Janoski, co-officiating.

Memorials may be made to Barnes Jewish Hospital Hospice, Alton, Illinois.

Interment: Oak Ridge Ranch Family Cemetery, Versailles, Missouri
