Eric M. Hollinger, 46, of Troy, Illinois, passed away February 5, 2026.

He was born September 27, 1979, in Naples, Italy, the son of Buford and Patricia (née Sherfy) Hollinger, both of whom retired from the U.S. Navy.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Vaughn Kenneth Hollinger, who passed away May 25, 1999.

Eric worked in cybersecurity and enjoyed being out in nature, gaming, computers, and motorcycling. He is missed by many.

The family is buried at Friedens Cemetery in Troy, Illinois.
