Obituary
Emmett Arthur Pfeil, 83, of Troy, Ill., born March 2, 1929, in Belleville, Ill., died on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at University Nursing and Rehab Center, Edwardsville, Ill.
Mr. Pfeil was a member of Troy United Methodist Church, the Odd Fellows and had worked for Union Electric Power Company and retired from the welding shop.
Emmett was preceded in death by a son, Michael Pfeil; and his parents, Emmett and Catherine, nee Semrau, Pfeil.
Surviving are his wife, Bobbie, nee Hogan, Pfeil; sons, Brian (Marti) Pfeil of Troy, Ill., and Steve (Christie) Pfeil of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Lesa (Kirk) Auten, Emily (Greg) Becherer, Elizabeth (Scott) Kaiser, Andrea (Darren) Davis and Cassie Wathern; 12 great-grandchildren; and many friends.
Memorials may be made to Troy United Methodist Church.
Family and friends will gather for a celebration of Emmett's life, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Troy United Methodist Church, Family Life Center, Troy, Ill.
