Obituary
Emma C. Mills, 98, of Troy, Ill., born Sept. 4, 1917, in Maryville, Ill., passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at Liberty Village in Maryville, Ill.
Emma was a long time member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Ill., member of St. Ann Sodality of St. Jerome's Catholic Church and the Rosary Society of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She loved music and enjoyed entertaining people by playing the piano and organ. She was an avid Cardinals Baseball fan…Go Cards!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo "Buck" Mills, whom she married on Jan. 22, 1935, and who passed away March 27, 1981; daughters, Melissa Schrader and Beverly Mills; grand-daughters, Elizabeth Ann and Emily Louise; sister, Irene Oberbauer; and a half sister, Edna Ratzel.
Surviving are her daughters, Carole (John) McCarty of Troy, Ill., Clare (Kenneth) Watts of Collinsville, Ill., and Lana (Anthony) Luckshis of Glen Carbon, Ill.; 11 grand-children; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Ill.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be at Fairland Cemetery, Maryville, Ill.
