Elizabeth Mary Ellen Tegtmeyer, 85, of Troy, Ill., born Oct. 20, 1923, in Collinsville, Ill., died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at her home.

Mrs. Tegtmeyer worked as a bus driver for Triad School District. She was a member of St. Paul's Luther Church in Troy, Ill., the Jarvis Township Senior Citizens Center and Anderson Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Tegtmeyer whom she married on July 25, 1942, in Collinsville, Ill., and who died Sept. 11, 2004; a daughter, Joyce Ann Blaine; and her parents, Arthur A. and Clara K., nee Esterlein, Bohnenstiehl.

Surviving are her daughter, Sandra E. Hanser of Troy, Ill.; six grandchildren, Teri Pratt, Steven Pratt, Laura Hofmann, Scott Pratt, Cheryl Carvelot and Dale Blaine; 11 great-grandchildren, Garret Pratt, Josh Austin, Brandon Austin, Amanda Hofmann, Jacob Burton, Paige Pratt, Lillian Pratt, Amelia Pratt, William Carvelot, Lisa Carvelot and Emma Blaine; two great-great-grandchildren, Alex and Benjamin Austin; and two sisters, Norma (Robert) Kuennemann of Collinsville, Ill., and Nancy (Gene) Meffert of Greenville, Ill.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., with Rev. Mitchel E. Schuessler officiating. Burial will be at Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
