Edward Stephan Karpowicz Sr., 61, of Edwardsville, IL, born August 17, 1956 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Edward was a  member of Sheet metal works local 268. He was a soccer fan and served on the Soccer Board for Tri-Township Park, Troy, IL. He enjoyed hunting especially deer and rabbit hunting.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Casmir Karpowicz; parents Casmir "Karp" and Rose (nee Penn) Karpowicz.

Surviving are his wife Karen (nee Hussmann) Karpowicz; children, Eva (Rodney) Dominick of Collinsville, IL, Edward "Eddie" (Heather) Karpowicz of Glen Carbon, IL and Michael (Kinsey) Karpowicz of Maumelle, AR; grandchildren, Evan Dominic, Corbin, Sydney and Carter Karpowicz, Brayden and Laney Matyja; brother, Kenny Karpowicz; sisters, April Deatherage of Marine, IL, Diana (Gary) Wright of Hillsboro, MO, Linda (Gary) Wiess of Fenton, MO, and Rosie (Ceasar) Prado of Troy, IL.
