Edward Dallas Hamilton, 86, of Troy, Ill., born Nov. 27, 1927, in Sikeston, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, in Highland, Ill.
Mr. Hamilton served in the Army during Word War II and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Troy, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer J. and Anna J., nee Kureger, Hamilton; a sister, Blanche Jines; and brothers, Elbert, El-wood, Earl, E. Charles and Ellis Hamilton.
Surviving are his wife, Eva Joann, nee White, Hamilton; children, Pastor Rick (Peggy) Hamilton of Glidden, Iowa and Sonja (James) Kostedt of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Tiffany (Dave) Krampf, Damien Kostedt, Rebecca Hamilton, Elizabeth (Aaron) Struble, Wizer (Abigail) Hamilton, Andrew Hamilton, Josey and Daniel Wilson; great-grandchildren, Eli Hahn and Kristen Krampf; and sisters, Betty Hensley and Bernadine Timberding.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
