Mrs. Edna M. Neighbors (nee: Marvin), 79, of Troy, Illinois, born July 26, 1926 in New York City, New York, died July 11, 2006 at Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, Illinois.

Mrs. Neighbors has lived in Troy since 1971 moving from East St. Louis, Illinois. Mrs. Neighbors was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Illinois.

Mrs. Neighbors is preceded in death by her parents William and Martha (nee:Bode) Marvin, two brothers, Arthur and William Marvin, and one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Prussak.

Mrs. Neighbors is survived by her husband Ralph E. Neighbors, one son, William E. (Teri) Neighbors of Troy, Illinois, three daughters, Margaret A. Merrell of Troy, Illinois, Veronica L. Neighbors of Troy, Illinois and Mrs. Mary C. (Jim) Smiley of Highland, Illinois, one brother, Robert Marvin of Levittown, New York, five grandchildren, Joshua, Tiffany, and Shelby Smiley, Michael and Katie Merrell, three step-grandchildren, Jeff, Chris and Jason Hall, three step-great-great grandchildren, and extended family who shared her love, Jason, Craig, and Vincent Pratt, Nicole, Hillard and Stephanie Strode and Jamie Smart.

VISITATION: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 13, 2006.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Illinois with Fr. Steven Janoski officiating. Burial will at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery.
