Earl W. Bress' Obituary
Earl W. Bress, 88, of Troy, Ill., born Sept. 11, 1920 in Jarvis Township, Ill., died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Gateway Hospital in Granite City, Ill.
Mr. Bress was a retired equipment operator. He had lived all his life in the Troy area.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Adeloise M., nee Lanter, Bress; and his parents, Walter and Flora, nee Lehman, Bress.
Surviving are his daughter, Jean (Wayne) Scroggins of Farmington, Mo.; sons, Michael (Lora) Bress of Fairview Heights, Ill., and James Bress of Wood River, Ill.;
and his grandchildren, Tyler, Shanna and Quinn Bress and Julie Scroggins.
Memorials may be made to the Jarvis Township Senior Center.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at the funeral home with Monsignor Virgil Mank officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
