Obituary
Dovie Delight Thurston, 78, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sept. 12, 1929, in Mountain Grove, Mo., died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Thurston was a homemaker. She was a member of Anchor Bay Evangelistic Association in Maryville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Edith, nee Plunk, Maxville; and a sister, Deleta Welshan.
Surviving are her husband, Virgil Thurston of Collinsville, Ill.; her children, Linda (Frank Jr.) Mattea of Collinsville, Ill., and Laura (Keith) Timmins of Maryville, Ill.; her grandchildren, Kristi (Ray) Baumann, Chad (Sara) Mattea and Jessica (Stephen) Huch; her great-grandchildren, Noah, Mattea, Kalli and Alexa Baumann and Isaac Mattea.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Laughlin Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ray Baumann officiating. Interment in Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
