Mrs. Dorothy "Imogene" Marshhall, 75, of Troy, Illinois, born March 3, 1932 in Corinth, Mississippi, passed away at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois on Monday, May 21, 2007.
Mrs. Marshall lived in the Collinsville-Troy area for 45 years prior to moving to Highland and lived there for the last 16 years. Dorothy loved Ballroom Dancing and she frequented Lindendale Park and enjoyed her dancing. She also played the guitar, sang and wrote songs. She loved music. Mrs. Marshall was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed life to the fullest. Mrs. Marshall was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, Illinois.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by Harold Reichman, her beloved companion for the past 9 years, her son Phillip (Barbara) Marshall of Highland, Illinois, her two daughters Mrs. Brenda (James) Nasalroad of Troy, Illinois and Mrs. Lesa (Scott) Brannon of Highland, Illinois, her six grandchildren Michelle Nasalroad, Nicole Brannon, Rebecca "Marlo Borders" Nasalroad, Patrick Brannon, Brooke Meyers, and William "Billy" Meyers, one great-granddaughter Paige Borders, and last but not least she leaves behind her Yellow Lab "Punkin" of Highland, Illinois.
Mrs. Marshall is preceded in death by her parents Leslie Joseph and Ruby (nee: Wheeler) Petty, her husband Cloyd "Pep" Marshall whom she married on December 11, 1951 and he passed away October 7, 1996, and her brother Leslie "L.J." Petty Jr.
VISITATION HOURS: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Bethel Baptist Church, Troy, Illinois with Brother Timothy Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Marine City Cemetery, Marine, Illinois.
The family of Mrs. Marshall request that memorials be made to Spencer Animal Shelter or Ministries Unlimited.
