Obituary
Dorman Eugene Pense, 79, of Troy, Ill., born Nov. 3, 1933, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Pense was a member of the Troy Assembly of God Church and the New River Assembly of God Church. He loved and enjoyed being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved fishing, hunting (especially coon hunting), playing golf and his guitar. He was avid Cardinals Baseball and Rams Football fan. Dorman was the warehouse manager for Rawlings Sporting Goods.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Zola, nee Bilderback, Pense.
Surviving are his wife, Mary E., nee Montine, Pense; children, Sandy (Rich) Askew of Potosi, Mo., Debra (Kevin) Wilson of Troy, Ill., Terry (Bruce) Bullard of St. Jacob, Ill., and Michael (Nina) Pense of St. Jacob, Ill.; stepsons, Michael R. Staten and Wayne E. (Norma) Staten; grandchildren, Shariann Wolfe, Bubba Wilson, Travis Wilson, Benji Wilson, Daniel Wilson, Emily Bullard, Samantha Bullard, Victoria Pense, Austin Pense and Michaela Pense and a step-grandchild, Brylee Staten; 14 great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Ruth Marie Pense of St. Jacob, Ill.; and his brother, John (Linda) Pense of Troy, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the family and will be given to Dorman's charities of choice.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the New River Assembly of God Church, Maryville, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the church with Pastor Kevin "Bubba" Wilson Jr., officiating. Burial will be at Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
