Obituary
Doris L. Orlando, nee McCoy, of Glen Carbon, Illinois died February 26, 2010 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.
Doris was born October 26, 1919 to General Lee and Emma, nee Mitchell, McCoy in Tamms, Illinois. She had previously been employed as a department manager for Sears and Roebuck and a past member of Eastern Star. She moved to the area in 1999 from Reno, Nevada.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by husbands Chalres C. Kerr and Neal Orlando; seven brothers and five sisters.
Surviving relatives include daughters Sharon Davis of Algonac, Michigan, Judith (Rollie) Smith of Edwardsville, Illinois and Betty Kerr of Apple Valley, California; brothers Sam (Willa Fern) McCoy of Thebes, Illinois, Charles (Minnie) McCoy of Thebes, Illinois, Ted (Glenda) McCoy of Jay, Oklahoma; sisters Sandra (Bob) Lindsey of Granite City, Illinois and Emma (Ken) Stovall of Mesa Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bethel Baptist Church, Troy, Illinois.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 10 am to 11 am at Laughlin- Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Illinois.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Quercus Grove Cemetery.
