Obituary
Dora Laura Roberts, age 89, passed away peacefully at Relais Bonne Eau, Hospice of Southern Illinois in Edwardsville, Illinois on Saturday, March 12, 2011.
Mrs. Roberts was born December 4, 1921 in Plymouth, Iowa. She was a Homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Manly, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Roberts; parents, Edward and Florence (nee Fluhrer) Borchardt; brother, Wilbert Borchardt, and sisters, Mabel Hesse and Lorraine Rusley.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her son, Ronald J. (Sue) Roberts of Burmingham, Iowa; daughter, Bonnie L. (James) Diemer of Troy, IL..; grandchildren, Cynthia Holcomb, Randy Diemer, Sandra Willtrout, Chad Roberts, and Meredith Grier; great grandchildren, Ryan and Brooke Holcomb, Tyler Willtrout, Sasha Diemer, Eli, Jake and Amelia Grier; brother, Donald Borchardt of Manly, Iowa, and sister, Donna Bowling of Marshalltown, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to Relais Bonne Eau, Hospice of Southern Illinois, 7325 Marine Road, Edwardsville, IL. 62025.
Private services were held with the Rev. Mitchel Schuessler officiating. Mrs. Roberts was buried in the Manly Cemetery, Manly, Iowa.
