On Sunday December 10, Donald "Don" L. Turner, age 82, of Maryville, beloved husband, of Beverly, passed away with Beverly by his side.

Don grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma and graduated Ponca City High School in 1960.  He is a 1964 graduate of Oklahoma State University and a US Air Force veteran, having served two years in Japan. Don and Beverly married in 1968 on December 21st.  He worked for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for 30 years.

He is predeceased by his parents, Alta (Smith) and Carl Patrick Turner of Ponca City, Oklahoma; brother, William (Bill) and Ivy Turner of St. Helen's, Merseyside, UK; nephew, William (Billy) Turner, Jr. of St. Helen's, Merseyside, UK; and brother-in-law, Earl Sargent of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly (Gindler) Turner; sister, Patricia (Turner) Sargent of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one nephew, Stephan Sargent of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and one niece, Gail (Jeff Jacobs) Sargent.

Visitation for Don will be 9:30 to 11 am on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Friedens United Church of Christ Church, Troy, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL with Rev. Tim Harrison officiating.  Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Black Jack, IL at a later date.
