Donald Ellis McDowell Jr., 65, of Troy, IL, born Friday, November 5, 1956 in Alton, IL and passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Don retired from Richard's Brick in Edwardsville after 30 years of service.  He loved music and enjoyed playing guitar and other musical instruments.  He enjoyed flying small planes and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ellis McDowell Sr.

Surviving are his wife Sharon (nee Taylor) McDowell; his sons, Don (Michelle) McDowell III and Christopher McDowell both of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Landon and Carson McDowell; his mother, Joey (nee Conner) McDowell of Troy, IL and a brother, David (Sandy) McDowell of Troy, IL.

Visitation for Don will be held 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL

A memorial service will be 10:30 am on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, IL with Rev. Tim Harrison officiating.
