Donald E. Burk, 64, of St. Jacob, IL, born Saturday, June 26, 1954 in Urbana, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at ST. Louis University Medical Center.

Don was a faithful member of Troy United Methodist Church. He retired from RGA reinsurance Company, Chesterfield, MO. His grandchildren, family and friends were the greatest love of his life. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and being with family.  He was always there to help anyone in need and a great encouragement to all. He was purposeful about making sure his daughters and granddaughters knew how important they were and how proud he was of them.

He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Burk; and a sister, Jean A. Burk.

Surviving are his wife Barbara A. (nee Fraley) Burk whom he married February 14, 1981 in Collinsville, IL; daughters, Jaime (Rocky) Hernandez of St. Jacob, IL and Katie (Kasey) Fenimore of Troy, IL; mother, Minnie I. (nee Schlueter) Burk of Gifford, IL; grandchildren, Ariel and Nora Hernandez and Ella Fenimore.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, March 11, 2019 at Troy United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andy Adams officiating. Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, IL.
