Dolores Whiteside, age 71, of Troy, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at the home of her daughter in rural Golconda, Pope County, Illinois. Mrs. Whiteside was born June 19, 1931 to Oliver and Dorothy Catlow Dahmer in St. Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband Cleaburn "Whitey" Whiteside in 1979. She lived in Troy for the past 13 years, and attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was a member of Lansdowne Junior Garden Club and Eagles Auxiliary of Shiloh, Illinois. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Dahmer of Sullivan, Illinois; 2 sons Cleaburn (Annette) Whiteside, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; Richard A. Whiteside of Cahokia, Illinois and 4 daughters Linda (Paul) Lubeck of Troy, Cathy (David) Johnson of Golconda, Nancy (Gary) Roper of Delwood, IL and Karen (Randall) Jackson of Eddyville, IL. Also surviving are 3 brothers Roger Dahmer of St. Louis, MO; Oliver Wayne Dahmer of Ferguson, MO and Arthur Dahmer of St. Louis, MO and 2 sisters Connie Roewe of Effingham, IL and Carol Hochdeffer of Sullivan, IL; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, January 31, 2003 at 4:00 pm at the funeral home
Funeral Services: 10:00 am, Saturday, February 1, 2003 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Troy, with Pastor James Zimmerman officiating.
Interment: Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois
