Obituary
Dennis Nemeth, 58, of Troy, Ill., born December 7, 1956, in Granite City, Ill., died Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Dennis attended Bethel Baptist Church, Troy, Ill. He has worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections for 29 years, since 5/5/96 starting as a Probation and Parole Assistant. He was promoted to a Correctional Services Trainee on 1/5/98 at the Missouri Eastern Correctional Center (MECC). He transferred to the St. Louis Community Release Center on 8/1/98 and reclassified as a Probation and Parole Officer on 1/5/99. He worked at the Probation and Parole offices Districts 7S, 7B and 8N between 3/1/99 and 7/1/01. He transferred back to MECC on 4/20/03. He was very proud of being an Eagle Scout from Troop 38, Troy, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald "Don" Nemeth.
Surviving are his mother, Barbara "Barb", nee Patterson, Nemeth of Troy, Ill.; and a brother, Dale (Kelly) Nemeth of Troy, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at the funeral home, with Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.
