Obituary

Delphine Beatte, 92, of Caseyville, IL, born Thursday, August 20, 1931 in De Soto, MO and passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Delphine owned and operated Butch's Place in Washington Park for many years.  She was a woman of strong faith, never met a stranger and loved her family more than life and enjoyed the special times they spent together.  She embroidered hundreds of quilt tops for Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City and for St. Jacob Lions Club quilt raffles throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Beatte Sr. whom she married April 21, 1948 in De Soto, MO and he passed way on May 27, 1995; her daughter, Sandra Kay Edwards; and her 12 brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her children, Roger (Diane) Beatte Sr. of Collinsville, IL, Christine (William) Brennam of Caseyville, IL, Charles H. (Cathy) Beatte Jr. of Park Hill, MO, Adam Beatte of Collinsville, IL, and Butch Beatte of St. Augustine, FL; 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren; her many nieces, nephews, cousin and many dear friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held 11 am Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, 10101 W Main St, Belleville, IL 62223
