Mr. Delmar F. Kircher, 85, of Maryville, Illinois, born August 24, 1921 in Greenville, Illinois, died November 10, 2006 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.
Mr. Kircher lived his entire life in the Metro-East area. He was a member of the American Legion in Maryville, a Lifetime member of V.F.W., and a member of St. Lukes Methodist Church in Maryville, Illinois. Before his employment at B-Line in Troy, Mr. Kircher worked for the Railroad and as an Auto Mechanic. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing and playing cards. Mr. Kircher enjoyed refinishing antiques and was a very dedicated St. Louis Cardinal fan.
Mr. Kircher is preceeded in death by his parents Mathias and Elizabeth (nee:Berner) Kircher, his son David who passed away October 31, 1997, two brothers Orville and Lester Kircher, and one sister Lucille Gruenfelder.
Mr. Kircher is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (nee:Howard) Kircher whom he married January 23, 1949, two sons Delmar F. (Sharon) Kircher of Bunker Hill, Illinois and Ron Kircher of Granite City, Illinois, one daughter Mrs. Cheryl (Thomas) Jeschke of Belvidere, Illinois, one brother Elsworth (Nova) Kircher of Edwardsville, Illinois one sister Mrs. Lorraine Weiss of Highland, Illinois, fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 12, 2006. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 13, 2006 at Laughlin Funeral Home "Chapel" with Rev. Sigurd Bjorklunk officiating. Burial will be at Hug Cemetery, Millersburg, Illinois.
