Debra Marie "Debbie" Johnson, age 30, of Belleville, originally of Troy, passed away Monday, May 24, 2004 at her home.
Debbie graduated from Triad High School and attended Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Illinois on the Presidential Scholarship, graduated with honors, earning her degree in Civil Engineering. She pursued special recognition by earning the designation of Professional Engineer. She was employed as a Civil Engineer for the city of O'Fallon, Illinois. She was a gifted and talented person who touched many lives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Kay "Judy" (nee Kueker) Johnson.
She is survived by her fiance' and constant companion, Michael Edward "Mike" Hatzl of Belleville, her father, Fred Carl Johnson; three sisters, Carrie (John) Hanks of Edwardsville, Sheila (Mike) Francois of Clark, Missouri, and Denise (Chris) Hoelscher of Edwardsville; and a niece and a nephew.
Memorials may be made to the family, and will be forwarded to a worthy cause in memory of Debbie.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Friday, May 28, 2004 at Laughlin Funeral Home with Father Steven Janoski officiating.
Interment: Forever Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, Illinois
