David Hoedebecke, 60, of Hinsdale, Ill., born Oct. 15, 1952, in Granite City, Ill., died on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, Ill.
David's world revolved around his family, and he loved his wife, children and grandchildren with all he had. He was a breath of fresh air, a helpful hand to all and touched every heart he met. David was a cancer survivor. He was a member of Bricklayers Local No. 74 and a member of the NRA. He loved the outdoors especially the time he spent hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Hoedebecke.
Surviving are his wife, Cindy, nee Krueger, Hoedebecke of Hinsdale, Ill.; daughters, Krista (Matthew) Ranck of Oklahoma City, Okla., Samantha (Andrew) Krichbaum of Western Springs, Ill., and Sabrina Hoedebecke of Hinsdale, Ill.; grandchildren, Alison, Bailey and Tyler Ranck; mother, Mary, nee Rotter, Hoedebecke of Troy, Ill.; brothers, Steve Hoedebecke of Troy, Ill., and Andy (Terri) Hoedebecke of Edwardsville, Ill.; sisters, Judy (Tom) Smedley of Purcell, Okla., Sue (Keith) Callahan of Phoenix, Ariz., and Carol (Steve) Layman of Troy, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a charity to be chosen at a later time.
Friends may call from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Graveside services will follow visitation at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Black Jack, Ill., with Father Pat Jakel and the Rev. Mel Kimberlin officiating. Interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Black Jack, Ill.
For our Chicago friends and neighbors, a memorial celebration will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at David's home in Hinsdale, Ill.
