Dave Case, 73, of Troy, IL, born October 19, 1943 in Visalia, CA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Anderson Hospital in Troy, IL, surrounded by his family.

Dave served our country in the United States Army where he was a Vietnam War veteran and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. Dave returned to the Army in civil service for the Department of Defense for an additional 20 years before retiring for good. He was a member of the American Legion and the Oakbrook Golf Course. He also enjoyed traveling the world with his wife of 47 years, teaching his son the game of baseball, fishing with his grandson, playing Skip-Bo with his granddaughter, clamming on Pismo Beach with his parents and sisters, hunting, and playing golf with all his close friends. He also enjoyed anything related to his Rams and Cubs…and was very happy to see both franchises win World Championships during his lifetime!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phelean C. and Amelia (nee Simpson) Case.; sister, Marilyn Luttrell.

Carrying on his memory are his wife, Jean (nee Fischer) Case whom he married April 11, 1970 in Baltimore, MD; son, David A. (Kimberly) Case, Jr. of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Austin and Saryn Case and Chase and Annika Evanson; brother, Norman Case of Visalia, CA; sisters, Patricia (Lee) Rocha of Tulare, CA and Margaret (Joe) Pires of Tipton, CA.; aunt, Helen Overby; and many friends.
