Obituary
Darrell Wayne Burnett, 63, of Troy, Ill., born Nov. 19, 1945, in Tuscola, Ill., died Saturday, May 16, 2009, in Troy, Ill.
Mr. Burnett worked at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of Troy United Methodist Church, a founding member of the Troy Community Band, member of the Metro East Model Railroad Club and supported the ministry of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in University City, Mo.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father Wayne Burnett.
Surviving are his wife, Linda, nee Fredrikson, Burnett; children, Robert (Joyce) Burnett of Collinsville, Ill., and Dawn (Dave) Lambert of Glen Carbon, Ill.; mother, Erma, nee Snider, Burnett of Villa Grove, Ill.; brother, Dale (Nancy) Burnett of Villa Grove, Ill., and grandchildren, Dayton Lambert and Dan and Mike Mueth.
Memorials may be made to Harvest Ministries at Troy United Methodist Church or Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 1255 Ferguson Ave., University City, MO 63133 and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Troy United Methodist Church in Troy, Ill.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Dennis Price officiating. Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery in Troy, Ill.
