Obituary
Mrs. Darlis May Eaker, 83, of Troy, Ill., born December 15, 1922 in Gieden, MO., died March 23, 2006 at her residence.
Mrs. Eaker lived in Granite City, Ill. for 10 years prior to moving to Troy in August 1963 and lived in Troy since. Her family and gardening was her hobby.
Mrs. Eaker is preceded in death by her parents Willie Jackson and Pearl (nee:Rippey) Lewis, her husband William O. Eaker Sr. whom she married February 20, 1943 in Lawrence, KS., and who passed away on December 18, 2001, and 4 brothers, Charles Earl, Delbert Lee, John Henry and J. Robert Lewis.
Mrs. Eaker is survived by one son William O. (Jean) Eaker, Jr. of Troy, Ill., a daughter Mrs. Susan (John) Shock of St. Jacob, Ill., four sisters, Mrs. Katherin (Jesse) Riley of Gamaliel, AR., Mrs. Jane McDaniel of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Mrs. Patsy Jean Howton of Granite City, Ill., and Mrs. Shirley Dean VanGennip of Jackson,Mo., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
VISITATION HOURS: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 4 P.M. on Friday, March 24, 2006. Funeral Services will be Saturday March 25, 2006 at 11 A.M. from the Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Morris officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estate Cemetery in Glen Carbon, Ill. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital.
