Darilyn J. Johnson, 79, of Troy, IL, born March 14, 1944 in Highland, IL and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2023 in Alhambra, IL.

Darilyn was a life long faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, IL.  She was retired from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 881.  Darilyn enjoyed traveling, spending time in Branson, MO and the Sunday outings to the Muny and Webster University Theatre productions.  She loved and enjoyed her family time and watching her grand-dogs, Daisy and BB.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Malinda (nee Blume) Langreder.

Surviving are her husband, Edward E. Johnson of Troy, IL, whom she married September 28, 1963 at      St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Troy, IL; her children, Linda J. Johnson of Highland, IL, James E. Johnson of St. Jacob, IL and Douglas E. Johnson of Troy, IL; her brother, Charles (Bonnie) Langreder of Columbia, MO'; nieces, nephews, cousin and many friends.

Visitation for Darilyn will be held 9:30 to 11 am on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, IL.

Funeral services will be held 11 am on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at St. Paul's Lutheran with Rev. Albert Collver officiating.  Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
