Dalton Kyle Cox, age 6, of Troy, Ill., born Nov. 7, 2001, in Maryville, Ill., died Friday, April 11, 2008, at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Dalton was a kindergarten student at Henning Elementary School in Troy, Ill. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Dalton was an organ donor recipient and became an advocate for organ donation and transplant in death he was a gift of life donor. He enjoyed participating in the Bethel Baptist Church Awanas Program.

Surviving are his parents, Darrell and Lori, nee Coffmann, Cox; family members, Daniel Cox of Swansea, Ill., Adam Cox of Troy, Ill., Amy (Ryan) Mank of St. Louis, Mo., and Karrissa Cox of O'Fallon, Ill.; his grandparents, Sharon Boydston of Albion, Mich. And Jeff Muelchi of Belleville, Ill.; great-grandparents, Dennis and Sharon Muelchi of Belleville, Ill., and Carol and Dale Edwards of London, Ky.

Memorials may be made to the future foundation for families transitioning to care for special needs children or the Bethel Baptist Church Awanas Program.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Bethel Baptist Church, 7775 Collinsville Road, Troy, Ill.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the church with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Interment in Friedens Cemetery in Troy, Ill.
