Dale Schnoeker, 83, of Troy, IL, born March 24, 1936 in Bremen, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Eden Village, Glen Carbon, IL

Dale was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, IL where he served as head usher, Trustee and Chair of the Cemetery Committee. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army from 1957 to 1962.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn A. and Nora B. (nee Bierman) Schnoeker; brother, Leland Schnoeker, sister, Arlene Lampe; and a nephew, Gary Schroeder.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley M. (nee Sternberg) Schnoeker whom he married April 28, 1956 in Steelville, IL; children, Timothy (Robyn) Schnoeker of Coulterville, IL, Christine Sims of Godfrey, IL; grandchildren, L.J. (Tissam) Sims, Lacey Sims, Kara Schnoeker and Meg Schnoeker; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean (Roger) Schroeder and Donna (Dale) Rice; sister-in-law, Linda Schnoeker; brother-in-law, Leonard Lampe; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, August 22, 2019 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, IL, with Timothy Landskroener officiating. Interment in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
