Obituary

Dale David "Shark" Haeffner, 62, of Troy, Ill., born July 24, 1943, in St. Louis, Mo., died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.

Mr. Haeffner was a retired UAW representative at the General Motors Plant, Wentzville, Mo. He was a member of UAW Local 2250, Wentzville, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Dale and Stella (nee: Whertwine) Haeffner, his first wife, the mother of his children, Sharon Haeffner, and a brother, Carl Gilbert Barnett.

Surviving are his wife, Florence (nee:Overby) Haeffner, of Troy, Ill., four sons, Steve (Monetha) Haeffner of Moore, Okla., David (Patsy) Haeffner of Norman, Okla.,Mark (Rita) Haeffner of Salem, Okla.,and Curt Haeffner of Oklahoma City, Okla., a stepson, Robert Theriac of Collinsville, Ill., a daughter, Patty Anne (Dennis) Barnett of Troy, Ill., four brothers, Daniel (Joyce) Haeffner of Arnold, Mo.,Fred (Janet) Barnett of Arnold, Mo., Kenneth (RoseMarie) Barnett of Troy, Ill., and Kasel (Wanda) Barnett of Centreville, Ill., two sisters, Stella Embrick of Granite City, Ill., and Carlene Johnson of Dupo, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.

VISITATION: Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.

FUNERAL: Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., with the Rev. Mark Reiling officiating. Interment at Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
