Curtis Loyet, 54, of Collinsville, Ill., born July 7, 1959, in Highland, Ill., died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at his home in Collinsville, Ill.
Curtis was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Ill., he was a self employed farmer and also worked at Dupont, DeKalb seed dealers and Farmer's Mutual Hail Insurance as a crop adjuster, member of the 4th degree K of C, Brownstown Extension Research Agronomy Center, Madison County Extension Service, an avid bee-keeper, coon hunter, loved playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin J. Loyet.
Surviving are his daughters, Alyssa M. and Katie N. Loyet and their mother Betty (Lesicko) Loyet of Maryville, Ill.; his mother, Mildred, nee Bouse, Loyet of Troy, Ill.; brother, Gerald Loyet of Collinsville, Ill.; sisters, Charlotte (Edward) Hamill of Columbus, Ga., Anita M. Howard of Troy, Ill., Marlene Loyet of St. Ann, Mo., Teresa (Terry) Visintine of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Joan (Fred) Schreiber of Troy, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Troy Knights of Columbus.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Ill. A celebration of Curtis's life will follow starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at the Troy Knights of Columbus Hall, Lebanon Rd., Black Jack, Ill.
