Constance Gammon, nee: LaFonte, 84, of Troy, Ill., born October 20, 1920 in Austin, TX, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Gammon was a housewife. She has lived in Troy, Ill. for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Gammon, whom she married Nov. 26, 1942, in Austin, TX and who died January 26, 2003; her parents Albert and Mary, nee:Gomez, LaFonte, two brothers, Robert and Abe LaFonte, one sister, Mary Lou Campbell, and one grandson, Charles T. Gammon.
She is survived by two sons, Bill (Julie) Gammon, of Collinsville, Ill., Charles Gammon of Collinsville, Ill., one daughter, Ms. Betty Ann Gammon, of Troy, Ill.,one sister, Sue LaFonte of Austin, TX, four grandchildren, Stacy, Kimberly, Joseph and Gregory, three great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Justin Shea, Tyler Gammon and Blake Mouyassar and many niecs and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
VISITATION:Friends may call from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Friday, May 6, 2005 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
FUNERAL:Funeral Service will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Laughlin Funeral Home "CHAPEL",with the Rev. Dennis Price officiating. Burial will be at Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
