Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Colleen Marie Penrod, 45, of St. Jacob, Ill., born July 31, 1969, in Elmira, N.Y., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Colleen retired as a master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 24 years of service. She had also worked for Charter Communications. She enjoyed working with cheerleading at the Pride gym and cross stitch handwork.
Surviving are her husband, Todd E. Penrod, whom she married on July 2, 2003, in Belleville, Ill.; daughters, Makayla Penrod of St. Jacob, Ill., and Jessica McClain of Elkhardt, Ind.; her parents, Thomas and Julianne, nee Longwell, Combs of Elmira, N.Y.; a brother, Jeffrey (Karen) Combs of Mount Olive, N.C.; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James L. and Peggy S., nee Casper, Penrod of Troy, Ill.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Wiens officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
