Cleadth Weatherspoon, 98, of Troy, Ill., born October 4, 1918 in Doniphan, Mo., passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his home in Troy, Ill.

Cleadth was preceded in death by his wife, Othel F., nee Booker, Weatherspoon, whom he married March 6, 1937 in Paragould, Ark., who passed away August 18, 2001; daughter, Patsy K. McMurray; brothers, Clyde Weatherspoon and Claude Meadows; and his sister, Mae Fulkerson.

Surviving are his son, Philip (Phyllis) Weatherspoon of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Safondia (Mike) Tumulty, Denah McMurray, Michael Weatherspoon and Laura Weatherspoon; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
