Obituary

Clara L. Richter, nee Fischer, 97, of Troy, Ill., born June 11, 1912, in Collinsville, Ill., died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Marymont Manor, Eureka, Mo.

Mrs. Richter was a seamstress in the garment industry. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 years Madison County Election Judge, Ladies Aid Society; Pleasant Hour Club, T.O.P.S. and Four H Leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Richter; and her parents, John and Louise (nee Kueker) Fischer, son James Richter, three sisters, Edna Meyer, Verna Wegener and Bertha Sippel.

She is survived by a son, Donald (Siri) Richter of Pine Bluff, Ark.; a daughter, Connie (Wayne) McFarland of Cedar Hill, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Sue Richter of Collinsville, Ill.; her grandchildren, David Richter, Laura Foppe, Dan Richter and Carl Richter; her step-grandchildren, Janice Kroner, Debra Mitchell, Gary McFarland, Kathryn Lincecum and Kimberly Brinkerhoff; two great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Ill., with the Rev. Mitchel Schuessler officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
