Charmion Jay Semanisin, 93, of Troy, Ill., born July 31, 1920, in Edwardsville, Ill., died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at her home.
Charmion was a retired city clerk of Troy, Ill. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Jarvis Township Senior Citizens Center, American Legion Post 708 Auxiliary, Troy, Ill., Friedens United Church of Christ Ladies Guild and a proud member of Troy Democrat Women's Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Semanisis, whom she married on May 5, 1947, and who died July 22, 1999; her parents, Joseph J. and Frances, nee Hultz, Nemnich Sr.; and her brother, Joseph Nemnich.
Surviving are her two sons, Robert A. (Marsha) Semanisin of Troy, Ill., and David L. (Lisa) Semanisin of St. Charles, Mo.; grandchildren, Daniel (Jennifer) Semanisin, Thomas and Leslie Semanisin, Susan (Brian) Alcock and Maryann (Tony) Heras; and great-grandchild, Mace Heras.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., and 10 to 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at the church with Rev. Douglas Seagle officiating. Burial will be in Buck Road Cemetery.
