Charlotte Ann Ortiz, nee Mathews, age 53, of Troy, passed away Friday, February 28, 2003. Ms. Ortiz was a lead production assembler at Jakel's. She was preceded in death by her father Jay Mathews. She is survived by her mother, Mary, nee Murdock, Mathews of Bakersfield, California; a son, Dale (Stephanie) Myers of Troy; three daughters, Deana (Aaron) Worthen of Highland, Debra and Diane Ortiz of the home; a brother Cleveland (Lela) Mathews of Bakersfield; two sisters Mary Coffman and Jennie (J.B.) Willingham of Bakersfield and three grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, and Zachary Myers, all of Troy, Illinois.

Visitation: 4:00 pm, Tuesday, March 4 at Laughlin Funeral Home

Funeral: 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 5, at Laughlin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Mays officiating.

Interment: St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Blackjack, Illinois (rural Troy).
