Charles William Vieth, 88, of Troy, IL. born Feb. 21, 1915 in Hamel Township, Madison County, IL. died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.
Mr. Vieth was a parts manager for Butler Chevrolet, Edwardsville, IL. He was a World War II Navy veteran in the Aviation Ordinance. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church; and Senior Bowling League.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Adella nee Wieneke, Vieth; a brother William Vieth; and a sister, Gladys Aubrecht.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rose, nee Klausing, Vieth of Troy, IL., whom he married May 28, 1944; a son, Randolph (Karen) Vieth of Harrison, Ohio; a daughter, Sharon (Daniel) Hofeditz of Roscoe, IL.; four sisters, Helen Harris of Edwardsville,IL., Irene Schiebe of Edwardsville, IL., Margaret Caulk of Edwardsville,IL., and Adele (Maurice)Gregor of St. Louis,MO.; and four grandchildren, Jason (Heather)Vieth, Andrea Vieth, Tiara (Matthew) Bertrand and Tierney Hofeditz.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, Aug. 22, 2003 at the Laughlin Funeral Home Chapel, Troy, IL, with Sister Jeanette Hemmer officiating.
Burial: Forever Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
