Obituary

Retired United States Air Force CMsgt, Charles J. Kempker, 59, of Troy, IL, born November 19, 1958, in Tuscumbia, MO, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 25, 2018, at his home.

Charles was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, IL. He retired from the United States Air Force with 26 years and 6 months of faithful, dedicated service.  He then retired after 14 years at Scott Air Force base as a civil Servant.  Chuck was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree council # 9266 and 4th degree council # 3442, he was a proud member of Air Force Sergeants Association. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence B. and Sophia E. (nee Evers) Kempker; brothers, Timothy, William and Patrick Kempker.

Surviving are his wife, Cheryl L. (nee Vogt) Kempker of Troy, IL; children, Lynnette (Craig) Boyher of Amarillo, TX, Lori (Aaron) Snead of Woodriver, IL, Scott M. Foster of Troy, IL, and Richard Foster of Mary's Home, MO; grandchildren, Branden Boyher (Mandy), Darius Boyher,
Elizabeth Stonecipher (T.J), Jacob Boyher, Megan Smith (Matt), Justina Foster, Ericia Stahlschmidt (Michael), Tricia McCartney (Scott), Zachary Miller, Cory Foster, Andrew Foster, Kelsey Foster; great-grandchildren,  Harper Stonecipher, Willow Smith, Porter Smith, Jaxon Wisdom, Amelia Stahlschmidt, Charley Stahlschmidt, Sophia Stahlschmidt, Liam McCartney; brother, June A. (Sondra) Kempker of Mary's Home, MO; uncle cousin and friend.

Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL. Then to Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, 274 Highway H, Eugene, MO 65032 for visitation on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m., again on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 9 to 10 am.

Funeral Mass will be held 10 am Saturday, June 30 at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Eugene/ Mary's Home, MO. Interment with full military honors will be in Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery.
