Charles "Chuck" M. Boyer, 85, of De Soto, MO, born November 21, 1931 in Old Mines, MO, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Crystal City, MO.

Chuck was a long time member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, De Soto, MO. He served his country faithfully during the Korean Conflict in the US Army. Chuck delivered milk in the De Soto, Old mines and Potosi communities for many years working for Peoples Dairy and then Prairie Farms Dairy where he retired. He was a Member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1185, De Soto, MO. Chuck had many hobbies and enjoyed the craft shows with Veronica his wife of 58 years. He was a little league coach for many years. Most of all, Though he loved his family, his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were his life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica (nee Courtaway) Boyer whom he married January 23, 1954 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and she passed away March 26, 2012; parents, Matthew E. and Effie M. (nee Bequette) Boyer; brothers, George, Bobby and Arthur Boyer.

Surviving are his children, Vicki (Dave) McAnally of De Soto, MO, Charles (Sherrie) Boyer of Washington, IL and Jeff Boyer of Fenton, MO; grandchildren, Matt (Jennifer) McAnally, Brad (Pamela) McAnally, Mandi (Matt Franken) McAnally, Kristen (Ben) Briney, Lindsey Boyer, Megan (Josh) Jackman, Drew Boyer and Brooke Boyer; great-grandchildren, Haley, Colton, Madelyn, John, Braden, Kaylee, Caiden, Daylon, Scarlet, Austin, Adelynn, Wyatt, Barrett and Eloise; sisters, Freda Poultney of St. Louis, MO, Wilma (Bobby) Parmely of Potosi, MO and Marty Kohl of St. Louis, MO; brothers James (Verna) Boyer of Hillsboro, MO and Edward Boyer of Roy, UT; brother-in-law, Paul "Junior" (Barb Amsden) Courtaway of Festus, MO; dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 7, and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main Street, De Soto, MO 63020. There will be a Prayer service at 9:30 a.m. Friday and procession to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for funeral mass.

Mass of Resurrection will be said at 10 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Alex Anderson officiating. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, De Soto, MO.
