Obituary

Miss Catherine Jean Williams, 22, born September 1, 1984 in Maryville, Illinois, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Catherine lived in Troy, Illinois her entire life. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Troy and was employed by New Opportunities Work Program for the Disabled.Catherine's favorite color was "YELLOW". Starting at age 2 years old to 5 years old Catherine attended Wood River Severely and Profoundly Disabled School where she graduated, and from 5 years old to 8 years old attended LeClare School for the visually imparied and successively graduated. She then attended Illinois School for the Visually impaired in Jacksonville, Illinois from the age of 8 years old to 21 years old. Cahterine attended Camp Courage in Jacksonville, Illinois. A proud moment in her life was when she was selected to receive the Kyle Steffenson Outstanding Citizenship Award. Catherine loved Country Music and she loved her Church and to work with other children. Reba McEntire was her favorite singer. Catherine was faced with many challenges in her life and she accepted them willingly and made the best of them.

Catherine in survived by her mother Ginger (nee:Ball) Williams of Troy, Illinois, her sisters Mrs. Kimberly Ann (Mike) Prosser of Collinsville, Illinois, Mrs. Shara Lea Houlihan of St. Louis, Missouri, Crystal Morvec of Troy, Illinois, her maternal grandmother Ila Jean Ball of Troy, Illinois, host of nephews and nieces and a large extended family.

Catherine is preceded in death by her father Donald Williams who passed away January 19, 1996, her maternal grandfather Bernard Ball, and her paternal grandparents.

VISITATION: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home on Friday, August 10, 2007 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M.
And on Saturday, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on August 11, 2007 from 9 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.
SERVICES: Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, Illinois with Rev. James Gullen officiating.

Burial at a later date.
