Carole A. Hannon, age 60, of Troy, Illinois, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2004. Carole was born December 6, 1943 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Joseph and Ruth (nee Hagene) Niemaczek. Ms. Hannon was an Activity Director for O'Fallon Health Care. Most of her adult life, she lived in the Caseyville, Collinsville, and Troy area. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Niemaczek; and a brother, Joseph Niemaczek. She is survived by a son, Daniel James (Mary) Hannon of Glen Carbon; two daughters, Cheryl Ann (fiance, Tim Kosydor) Hannon of Maryville, Illinois; and Melissa (Paul) Ellis of Manchester, Missouri; her mother, Ruth, nee Hagene, Niemaczek of Caseyville, IL; a brother, Steve (Cheryl) Niemaczek of Caseyville; three sisters, Donna (Dan) Guentzel of Collinsville, Sheila (Paul) Nelson of Diettmer, MO and Mary (Art) Ponder of Belleville, Illinois; six grandchildren, Ryan, Lyndsey, PJ, Joshua, Samantha, and Jimmy.

Visitation: 4:00 pm, Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Laughlin Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 am, Thursday, April 29, 2004 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Illinois.

Interment: Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or to the Collinsville Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
