Carol L. Taake, 80, of Troy, IL, born Monday, December 21, 1942 in Highland, IL and passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at BJC Medical Center, St. Louis, IL.

Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the Tri-Township Library.  She was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan.  Carol was a school bus driver for the Triad Schools from 1977 to 2018 and delivered flowers for many years for the local flower shop.  She loved her family and always cherished the times they spent together especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel (nee Young) Henning.

Surviving are her husband, Terry Taake; her children, Mark (Angela) Taake of St. Louis, MO, Stacy (Eric) Postma of Troy, IL and Ty (Heather) Taake of Troy, IL; her grandchildren, Alyssa and Aidan Postma, Trey Taake, Stevie and Chey Buckman and Jager Ekren; her sister, Kay (Sy) Korte of Lebanon, IL; and brother, Don (Lynn) Henning of St. Louis, MO; nieces, nephews, cousin and many dear friends.

Visitation for Carol will be 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 am on Monday at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Rev. Dennis Price  officiating.  Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, IL.
